Candy Corn Fudge

When October rolls around I immediately start thinking: candy corn! We always have a bowl of candy corn sitting out during the fall months because it’s one of our favorite treats. When I’m thinking, I try to stockpile a few bags to pull out during the year when the candy corn cravings hit…and they will.

I love this fudge recipe because not only is it super easy, it’s just so darn fun and perfect for Halloween!

I used my Small Batch 3 Minute Cranberry Pistachio Fudge recipe as a base and it worked beautifully for this recipe. That particular fudge recipe is made in a loaf pan and makes just a small amount of fudge which is great when it’s for a smaller group.

I flavored the orange and yellow layers with honey – just like actual candy corn – and for the white layer, I used clear vanilla extract to keep the white, well, white.

5 SECRETS TO GETTING DINNER ON THE TABLE...FAST!

For coloring the fudge, I used this Wilton Gel Food Color Set for the orange and this Wilton Gel Food Color Set for the yellow (although this set would also work).

The fudge is made in layers, starting with yellow. Each layer needs to chill for a good 30 minutes before starting on the next one. After the white layer is added, the fudge needs to chill for at least another two hours to ensure the layers are perfectly set up.

Then it’s just a matter of slicing and cutting into wedges, or triangles so that the fudge actually resembles candy corn. Watch and see how easy it is!
